EDDIE SÁNCHEZ is an award-winning NYC-based filmmaker originally from Portland, Oregon. He directs, writes, produces, and edits original films, videos, and series exploring interpersonal politics, class, language, race, and intimacy with humor and compassion.
His feature-length directorial debut, MEXICANAMERICAN, had its world premiere in competition at the 2026 Tribeca Festival, where it won the Audience Award for Best Documentary Feature and was named one of seven festival highlights by The New York Times. His other directing credits include music videos for NYC independent recording artists and the webseries SCREWED.
In his previous work as an actor, Eddie appeared in the feature films WHEN ICARUS FELL and PRINCESS CYD (Vanity Fair’s 10 Best Movies of the 2010s), the webseries INSIGNIFICANT OTHER, and Local Theater Company’s world premiere production of PAPER CUT (Production of a Play of the Decade, Denver region, BroadwayWorld).
